What this service covers

Plasma cutting is ideal for producing custom steel parts quickly, especially when off-the-shelf options don’t exist or don’t fit.

This service is used to make:

  • brackets, tabs, and mounting plates
  • custom profiles and shapes
  • repair and replacement parts
  • components for welding or assembly

The focus is on fit and function, not decorative laser-level precision.

Capabilities

I operate a CNC plasma table with a 4′ × 8′ cutting area and water table.

  • Cuts steel up to 3/4″ thick
  • Best results at 1/4″ thickness and below
  • Suitable for one-off parts or small batches

Plasma cutting is often paired with welding or secondary finishing when tighter tolerances or edge cleanup are needed.

What to expect

Plasma cutting is a practical process:

  • fast turnaround
  • flexible geometry
  • good dimensional consistency
  • edges may require light cleanup depending on use

If a part needs high cosmetic precision, I’ll say so up front and help you decide the right approach.

Good fit for this service

This is a good option if you need:

  • custom steel parts cut to shape
  • brackets or plates for fabrication
  • parts that will be welded or bolted
  • quick solutions without long lead times

File & design support

Parts can be cut from:

  • CAD files
  • simple drawings
  • traced or measured existing parts

If you’re unsure how to provide files, I can help get them into a usable format.

Getting started

Helpful details include:

  • material thickness
  • approximate dimensions
  • quantity
  • whether parts will be welded, bolted, or used as-is
