One of the first larger projects at the first shop of my own. A collaboration with Concrete Jungle to build a beautiful set of very heavy stairs.
One of the biggest challenges was maintaining the tight tolerances required by the concrete treads and cable railing. In order to support the railing each newel post returns to the center stringer, over six feet worth of material.
It is subtle but the railing has a gently curve inward toward the stairs.
